Capturing the Parisian Charm of The James | Restaurant Photography on Long Island
Nestled on Long Island, The James is a captivating new restaurant that promises a Parisian dining experience, crafted meticulously by Beth Donner Design. The recent photoshoot of this establishment beautifully captures its sophisticated ambiance and elegant design. Owned by the same group behind Arlo, another of our recent projects, The James carries forward the tradition of blending classic charm with modern sensibilities. Interestingly, this space is located in the former "Carriage House" in Babylon, giving it a rich historical context that enhances its charm.
Beth Donner’s design brings a taste of Paris to Long Island, featuring a striking exterior with rich, dark tones contrasted by warm, welcoming brick. Inside, the restaurant is an epitome of chic Parisian style. The lighting, furniture, and decor all contribute to an atmosphere that is both inviting and luxurious. From the intricately designed bar area to the cozy dining spaces, every corner of The James is a testament to thoughtful design and attention to detail.
The photos highlight the seamless blend of vintage and contemporary elements, showcasing the versatility of the space. Whether it’s the elegant bar setup with its polished surfaces and glowing bottles, or the dining areas that exude a warm, intimate vibe, each image tells a part of the story that is The James.
This project exemplifies how excellent design and photography can come together to create a visual narrative that not only attracts but also enchants the audience. The James is more than a restaurant; it’s a destination, a place where every meal is an experience to be savored and remembered.
This post is Part 1, featuring the daytime shots. Stay tuned for Part Two, which will showcase The James in the evening, highlighting its enchanting night-time ambiance.
